Nicole Rafferty was recently certified as an Alexander Teacher by completing 1600 hours in Heidi Leathwood's AmSAT approved Alexander training course in Denver, Colorado, in the spring of 2016. Ms. Rafferty is a professional violinist with degrees in psychology and violin from the University of Denver. After experiencing crippling back pain and stage fright Ms. Rafferty began taking Alexander lessons with Mrs. Leathwood at the Lamont School of Music. After experiencing great success with the Alexander Technique in improving  Ms. Rafferty's back pain, stage fright, and technique she decided that it was essential that she train in the Technique so that she may help her own violin students and others gain the freedom and ease in movement she had found in the technique.
